Shooting Sport

For the last two weeks, I’ve been covering volleyball games for Eastern Echo. I have to say I enjoyed each game of them. The energy in the field makes me starve to shoot more. When I started shooting for a paper sport was the last thing in my mind for two reasons. First, shooting sport is very expensive. Tokina 11-16 f/2.8

I got my hands recently on the ultra wide lens Tokkina 11-16 f/2.8. Wide angle always been my favorite style to shot. With 11mm is as widest as you can get without getting a fisheye effect. I’ve been experimenting with it for couple days and the results were awesome. I really like this lens. IT’s sharp and fast. Here is  a couple shotes with HDR processing…

Eastern Life

Here is an HDR photo I took yesterday during SSU National Day celebration. I took three frames, I processed the photo with Nik HDR Efex. Then a LOT of photoshop post processing to balance the exposure between outside and inside. This is a first version, I may work on a second version once I finish all the projects that I have on hand right now.

Long Exposure at Parker Mill Park

Long Exposure at Parker Mill Park

This is one of the result of our Parker Mill park trip last week. I’ve trying to get a good long exposure for couple months now. I tried making my own ND filter but that didn’t work. This time, I used my CP filter which gave about 3 less stops. The weather was cloudy and that helped too. This is the first real experiment for a long exposure, until I get my 10 stops filter, I’ll keep trying with  what I got. MTC…..
