The Digital Photography by Scott Kelby

I started photography as a hobby about a year ago. I got a camera and I just started shooting people, things, and places. Most of the time I got those lousy photos that doesn’t benefit anything. Then I realized that I need to learn a lot of things about this hobby of mine, How to use a SLR camera? How to setup a scene? And what I need more to get going? So I started my research to find the best book to read about the topic. I found many people and websites recommending Scott Kelby book “The digital photography”, it’s a small book, kind what I need to start. But after only a few chapters of this book my shots improved amazingly. It’s by all means the best photography book out there now.

What makes this book difference than other books is the way that it written by. Easy language, not much of technical terms, and straight forward advices. Or as Scott Kelby put it, it’s like you are in trip with your friend and he giving you advice about how to improve your photos.

The book explains many tricks and tips in almost all the photography fields that you could possibly think about. From portrait shooting to landscape, macro, wedding, flowers, sport and many others. Also, he teaches you the best use of equipment and discuses the different kind of it. He even tells you about the best equipment to have with different prices and where the best place to buy it. Another good chapter I liked is how to build your Owen studio from scratch, it will amazed you how easy it is.

After the huge success of the first volume of the book, Scott came with volume two and three. With the same way of writing, discussing more tips and tricks or an old tips with more details.

These set of three books is the best you could ever read about photography. It changed my photos amazingly, it even changed the way I look to photos and photography. You will find your eyes more sensitive for errors on your shots and others. They are really worth the money and the time.
